Pit stop - Miami

Back from an incredible journey through fjordlands, mountains and seas. Back to Miami, the heat, the humidity....not long here, next stop St. Lucia in the Caribbean.

trans-atlantic crossing may/june 2009

After joining a new boat and getting to know the new crew as well as dealing with the tail end of a hectic yard period in Florida, U.S, it was a welcome relief to leave the chaos behind and sail into the wide expanse of the Atlantic.

Leaving at high tide on a Sunday evening we cruised out of the inlet at Palm Beach and started our trip "across the pond".
